MMES Staggered Entry Pre K ONLY
This year MMES will host staggered entry for Pre K students only. This plan has already been shared with families. You can few the plan HERE. All students will start school Monday, August 25th. There will be no half days or alternating days for Primary.
Where: Morehead Montessori
When: Thursday, August 21st from 5:00-6:30
What: Morehead's annual back to school open house is an opportunity to meet your student's teacher, find out who is in their class and learn important information about the upcoming school year. The first 40 minute session is for kindergarten and upper elementary, and the second session, starting at 5:50 is for lower and special programs. Pre K families will have a more intimate open house this year, on Friday, August 22nd @ 3pm. This year we have 3 food trucks joining the party, Empanadas RD, Chop House BBQ and Catering, and Dalat Street Vietnam. A portion of all sales will go back to MMES so please come support our partners and enjoy delicious food.
At Morehead, we’re all about removing barriers, supporting our kids, and building community—together with our amazing PTA.
Our MeerStart campaign is the big fundraising kickoff for the year, and it helps cover almost all of the programs and extras that make Morehead special. These funds benefit every student and every family in our community.
This year, we’ve set a big goal: $165 per student, which adds up to $50,000.
We know every family’s situation is different, and truly—no gift is too small or too big. We just ask that you give in a way that feels right for you.
If we hit our MeerStart goal, we’ll cut down on extra fundraising asks later in the year. Plus, your support means MMES and the PTA can provide things like snacks, school supplies, and so much more for all of our students.

Thank you for being part of our Morehead family!
Morehead will offer student t-shirts this year. Cost is yet to be determined, but the shirts will be by color by cohort. Primary will be orange, Lower will be red and Upper will be green. The shirts will have the graphic below. Please complete the form to share your students size. These shirts will also be available for parents and family members if they are interested. Families will be responsible for purchasing shirts, financial assistance will be available for those that require it. Our goal is for EVERY student to have a shirt.
