This Week's Update

Good Evening Families,

We have our first early-release day this week on Wednesday (October 8). We will begin our dismissal process at 12:15. If your child’s usual afterschool plan is different for early-release days, please reach out to your child’s teacher now, so they can plan accordingly.

We are working with intentionality to create meaningful opportunities for families to engage at George Watts Montessori this year! If you attended one (or more) of our family nights last month, please take a brief (2 questions) feedback survey HERE.

This Friday is our Fall Picture Day. There is nothing to do before pictures. Families will receive access directions a few weeks after picture day to view and purchase pictures. Stay tuned, our photographer will offer family mini packages on November 2. Details coming soon!

This week at School Improvement Team: interested in learning more about the school improvement process? This week we will review our comprehensive needs assessment and updates to our school improvement plan and we’ll discuss the 5 core components of a Montessori classroom and how we are meeting those components at GWM  (Agenda). You Belong Here: Launching Our Fall Fundraising Campaign

Just 11 more days until our first Fall Fun Dance! October 16, come in all your fall fun (sneakers encouraged) and dance! The emphasis is on FUN!  Parents, you are encouraged to remain on site for a fun dry tailgate, sponsored by the PTA.
